What is your primary product or service?
A major component of our practice is Arts Marketing in the performing and visual arts, though we also serve non-profit and for-profit organizations across industry sectors.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I gravitated to marketing and public relations at an early age, starting my career in the popular music business as a talent buyer and promoter. From there, I went to business school and after worked in numerous full-service marketing and public relations firms, after which I moved to The Washington Ballet where I served for 10 years as director of marketing and public relations, later going to the Milwaukee Symphony as VP of marketing & PR. After a stint at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund as executive vice president, I opened my consultancy.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I try to keep my firm small so I can serve my clients personally at a high professional level rather than delegating to others with less experience. I enjoy doing the planning, writing, materials, media relations myself, and I have a track record of accomplisments and success.
I also provide integrated marketing, public relations and fundraising services, and take a strategic approach to advancing the work of my clients.
